It has nearly been a month since Winter graced us with its presence. Only now though has it begun to get cold enough to start pulling out coats, scarfs and cute turtle neck sweaters that you can layer under your favourite summer dresses.
Just joking, you think it's cold when you wake up in the morning but by 10 it's back to reality and it almost feels like summer again and you have to rip off the layers to stop yourself from over heating and melting into a puddle on your way to work (ok, that was a little dramatic, but you get the picture)

Regardless, I still love winter.
For the layering and big coats, definitely not for the chilly mornings and nights that make you struggle to leave the warmth of your bed. The best part about Australia in Winter though is that even though it's cold, it's not often that it's cold enough to stop wearing cotton dresses or skirts without stockings as long as you have a good jacket or coat.
Here is where this red puffer comes in.
I have been looking for a puffer jacket ever since Matt and my trip to New York in January this year (so not very long). I definitely should have bought one specifically for New York since it was a cool -5 most days but everyone makes mistakes and I'll remember next time.

In Australia Winter clothing doesn't stay in stores for long because it just isn't cold enough but that is great for bargain hunters like myself because you can pick up cool jackets just like this one from Cotton On for $30 in the middle of Winter!
Who cares if I can only wear it between the hours of 5-10 am otherwise I'd faint from heat stroke, it's a great travel companion and I'm stoked that I picked up this steal!
