No Makeup, Makeup

Effortless and fresh are two words that come to mind when I think about the 'no makeup, makeup' look.
You know the look I'm talking about right?
It is meant to be minimalistic and take 5 minutes to do but In reality it actually takes an hour, 100 products, 2 youtube tutorials and 3 coffees to look as though you have no makeup on.
Yep. We have all been there.
I honestly scroll through Instagram (I know it is not all real but still) and see all of these beautiful women who look so gorgeous wearing barely any makeup, and it was then that I decided that I to can look like that.
So here I am, with completely raw and unedited photos to show everyone that skin that looks like skin is definitely manageable with only 3 (or 5) products and anyone can do it.

Starting with clean and moisturised (ALWAYS MOISTURISE) skin, I am going to take a tinted moisturiser, yes a tinted moisturiser. Leave the full coverage for an event or night out!
I normally apply my liquid products with my fingers or Beauty Blender, that depends if I feel like walking downstairs to wet my Beauty Blender - first world problems...
Once I have put down my base, I go in with concealer and cover any imperfections or darkness using my finger a any concealer. My go to's are Nars Creamy Concealer or Soft Matte. Both are awesome!
Then once I finish evening everything out, I use a small tapered brush (this one pictured is by Bare Minerals) and I buff a very small amount of the Bare Minerals Original Powder all over my face.

This is the part that I think is important. I always finish my base with a little bit of hydrating mist. Whether it be Avene Thermal Mineral mist or Mario Badescu Rose and Aloe Spray. I always give my skin that extra moisture and once the product has absorbed, I press my base into my skin with my fingers.
(Optional) I apply some cream blush and highlight to give your skin a youthful glow. I use creams for this because they don't look matte and create an illusion of health in the skin. Perfect for hangovers, sickness and dry Winter skin.
