Balm Cleansers That I Have Fallen Hard For

Ever felt that foaming cleansers leave you tight and temporarily dry before you become oily again?
Maybe you should try an oil cleanser!
I'm sure by now it is no surprise that if you follow my instagram (@_letsbenosey) then you know I am a fan of oils in every and all products I use (mostly).
Recently, I thought I would branch out and try balm cleansers instead of my favoured liquid oil cleansers that I normally grab for, as it was a Wednesday and I felt like I wanted to change up hump day ya know?
Anyway, I tried the famous and apparent 'worlds best cleanser' that is Eve Lom, Sunday Riley's botanical Blue Moon and Clinique's best selling Take the Day Off balm.
I felt like they were all worthy contenders so over a few weeks I trialled them out.
Clinique's Take the Day Off was up first.
I initially liked the way this product broke down my makeup, including waterproof mascara and lipstick. It was quite oily and I didn't notice much of a smell which I appreciated too. I used a face cloth to wipe everything off once I was finished massaging the balm into my skin and felt very clean afterwards. I followed this balm with my Juju Bar from Drunk Elephant though because I felt like this balm just cleansed my makeup off and thats it.
Eve Lom jumped into my shower next.
I had a lady once tell me this balm smelt like chorizo and for the life of me now I can't get that smell out of my head... If you are a fan of the Spanish sausage, then you may enjoy the smell more than I did! I tried to do the famous massage that goes with this cleanser but I do not think I would do it everyday day, as I am lazy and... that's probably it. I tried using a normal face cloth with this product to but I much preferred the Muslin cloth that comes with the cleanser as it is much more exfoliating and prevents the feeling of residue afterwards.
I had noticeably less red and irritated skin while I used this cleanser and didn't notice any breakouts either which is a thumbs up from me! I also enjoyed that this cleansed my skin thoroughly of makeup and dirt in one go instead of using two separate products to cleanse my eyes and face.
Blue Moon was my last trial and I jumped out of the shower for this one.
I had been wanting to try Blue Moon since I became addicted to Good Genes by Sunday Riley. I was so impressed with that serum that I was excited to try more and this cleanser definitely did not disappoint!
There is a very botanical smell to this balm, but I actually quite like it! The Oily texture really works at cleaning the skin of makeup and impurities while also hydrating and nourishing. I saw a visible difference in the texture of my skin and also noticed less dehydrated in a matter of days. I would highly recommend this container of magic!
