Drunk in love with Drunk Elephant

I am one of those people who instantly buys into any advertisement on tv about skincare. I wish I wasn't as easily absorbed by the cosmetic world but if the product states it miraculously clears up acne or promises you will never get a wrinkle I am sold immediately. You now shouldn't be surprised when I tell you that as soon as I found out Australia was finally getting Drunk Elephant I was already on the waiting list at Mecca Maxima.
Drunk Elephant. If you haven't heard of this brand you need to do some research!
It is a non-toxic skincare line - not to be confused with all natural or organic - based on Marula oil that is packed full of powerful ingredients that help tackle pigmentation, acne, dehydration and anti-aging. Normally skincare companies will have targeted lines to help tackle just one of many skin concerns, where as this brand has the one line that aims to eliminate all concerns. Gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin, these products give quick and fast results that you can visibly see!
When the products finally came to Australia I was only lucky enough to get my hands on the T.L.C Framboss night serum at first. I was genuinely shocked how quickly these products were out the door but knowing how great the reviews online were could I really be that shocked?
I used the night serum religiously for about a month and I noticed a reduction in the congestion along my jaw line and less blackheads through my t-zone. I was wowed enough to grabbed the rest of the line as soon as I could.
I then followed what the directions said and used the exfoliating Juju bar as my cleanser in the morning, followed by the C-Firma day serum (a potent vitamin C serum) mixed with a little bit of the B-Hydra intense hydration gel for moisture as I can be a little more on the oily side during the day.
At night I used the gentler Pekee (which got rid of all of my makeup!) followed by the T.L.C Framboos night serum (a concoction of acids to help exfoliate) mixed with a couple of drops of Marula Oil.
I was very much in love with the night serum on it's own but when using all of the products together the results were even more impressive.
I kept to my strict new regime for a month and noticed my skin didn't have the standard greasy look at the end of the day anymore, just a nice healthy glow. I didn't have any new breakouts and the breakouts I did have when I started weren't inflamed and were on the mend. I think the biggest thing I noticed out of everything though was that I had no dehydration lines on my face at all. I know I am not the best at drinking my 8 glasses of water a day but now you cant tell that I have been lacking on my water intake, as my skin looks balanced and healthy.
I truly do believe that a skincare without the nasty ingredients has helped my overall skins health, and if I am to try new products I will probably go to brands that I know avoid additives such as alcohol, essential oils and fragrance. So if you a looking for a new skincare regime I would definitely recommend Drunk Elephant!
