Christmas Oh My!

I personally love Christmas. It is definitely my favorite event of every year, even more so then my birthday. There is just something about family and friends coming together and eating great food that just makes me excited beyond belief. Besides the lovely company and food, Christmas is obviously a time of love.

Lets all just keep in mind in Australia right now it is Summer and it’s normally about 30 – 40 degrees here for Christmas which I think, if I’m not mistaken, is 86 – 104 Fahrenheit for all the Americans reading. I envy all of those who are in Winter right now and are having a beautiful white Christmas. Trying to do makeup in this heat is beyond ridiculous! In saying that, I’ve still been wanting to do some themed looks while the festive season is upon us and what better way to incorporate Christmas into makeup then doing a nutcracker!

If you aren’t interested in wearing this outrageously festive makeup while your eating your ham and turkey then go for a red lip or gold eye shadow to spice up your Christmas look. It’s easy and it shows your in the spirit! I’ve recently found a new favorite red lipstick. I say it’s my new favorite because it is cheap and it lasts. Models Prefer Infinite Colour Lipstick in ‘Scarlet Hussy’ is only $11.99 but I picked it up for $6 when Priceline had a big sale. It is the lipstick I am wearing in this look and a lipstick I’ll definitely be re purchasing. If you are looking for a nice gold eyeshadow, I can’t go past Makeup Geeks ‘Bleached Blonde’. It’s such a gorgeous shimmery gold that can be worn by itself or with a warm brown in the crease.
